Weekly Recap 3/24

Happy Saturday! Shhh, Stop Shouting!  I went to a wedding last night so I’m a little tired.  This week was spring break for me, so I enjoyed my extra time relaxing and enjoying the weather we were having.  80 degrees in March is unheard of where I live.

I have been training for a half marathon that takes place in May for the past 4 weeks.  This week my shins started hurting, so I had to rest a few days.  I am hoping I can get back into the groove tomorrow.  This week I ran about 14 miles, and I’m hoping I can make it up to 18 next week.  We will see!

Here are some of my favorite articles from the week.  Happy Reading!

Savings Update

I have recently paid off my car and refinanced my mortgage, WOOHOO.  But now I have to put that money away.  I figure the best way to commit is by posting a monthly update of my savings balance.  That way all of you can give me a hard time if the balance isn’t growing as expected.  Thanks in advance for the support! I accept all types of encouragement ranging from insults, bullying, and digs in order to meet my savings goal.

 Starting Balance: $6541

 Monthly Contribution Goal: $500

 Actual Contribution: $2980

 Ending Balance: $9521
