If you are anything like me, you live on your phone. I don’t know how I got through life before smartphones. OK, I might be a bit overboard with that statement, but I do love having a smart phone. There are countless things that you can do with your smart phone. On a daily basis, I use it for:
- Social Media (Facebook, twitter, linked in)
- Checking the stock market
- Reading the paper, blogs, and magazines
- Searching for places (restaurants, businesses…)
- Mapping a route (I’m not the most directionally inclined person)
- The basics (phone calls, texting, emails)
- Playing games
If I forget my phone at home (it has been over 2 years since I did this last), I am lost. It is a scary feeling not having your cell phone. What if you have an emergency? What if you’re lost? What if you need to play Angry Birds right now!? Your cell phone is your life line, and without it you’re erased from the world. Maybe not erased, but definitely lost for a brief second.
I love sharing my favorite apps that get me through the day. I previously wrote about some of my favorite financial apps that I use all the time, check it out to download some great apps. This is a list of 10 apps that are totally worth their cost. Most people like to stick to free apps. They are easy to get, you can test them out without spending a dime, and if you don’t like them then they can easily be deleted. If you pay for an app, there is no refund.
Whenever I am going to pay for an app, I generally read every review available. I hate spending money on apps that are a bust, so due diligence is necessary. This post is your due diligence (that’s borderline conceded but trust me, these are fun apps). If any of these sound like they would fit your niche, give ’em a try! You wont be disappointed.
Angry Birds – I read that over 350 million people have downloaded angry birds which has resulted in over $70 million in income! That is incredible seeing as it only cost around $140k to make. That is some serious ROI (return on income) for Rovio, the games creator. The point of this game is to slingshot different birds into structures to knock them down and destroy the pigs that stole their eggs. The more you destroy, the more points you get. It can be somewhat difficult to complete certain levels, but attaining 3 stars in every single level presents a true challenge. BEWARE, if you download this game be prepared to spend hours and hours playing. It is very addicting!
