I am happy it’s the weekend. This week was a bit long.  One of my good friends of over 20 years lost his mom this week.  It was very unexpected, she was only in her late 50’s. I have the honor of being a pall-bearer at her funeral.  It is going to be a tough day though. I can only say that it helps knowing she’s in a better place with the Lord.Â
I hope everyone has a great week, and I hope I wasnt too much of a Debbie downer.
Here are a few of my favorite posts for the week.Â

My favorite headlines from the week
-         Google’s stock split raises questions – I was quite surprised to read that Google is planning to split its stock. They are doing this to preserve the % of voting shares of the owners. The new shares that Google will have won’t be voting shares, and will have a separate ticker. These tech guys don’t like people telling them how to run their companies I guess. Â

I accept all types of encouragement ranging from insults, bullying, and digs in order to meet my savings goal.Â
